From the Pastor’s Desk:

Although a few loose ends still linger, the work of the Trustees is almost completed with exception of normal maintenance issues that arise from time to time.  I want to thank Rosemary Potter and the Board of Trustees for their good work. I think we will all agree that the buildings and grounds are in beautiful shape.  The painters pointed out that our roof had wind damage, which led to an insurance settlement adequate enough to cover the cost of a new roof.

Bill McConnell and a number of others have given their time to maintain the grounds and have done an exceptional job. It is this kind of selfless giving that brings joy to the heart of the Divine. I applaud everyone who has given so much to honor God and make our facilities and grounds beautiful.

This weekend is the Alternative Christmas Market which supports the artisans around the world through the ministry of 10,000 villages.  This is a great opportunity to find that unique Christmas gift for your family or friends. This ministry enables us to connect with people around the world making their lives better. It is a chance for us to make a difference.

Our Fall Festival this weekend will offer a day of fun and activities for the children and adults of our community.

I want to thank everyone for signing up for our Olan Mills directory. This new directory, the first in quite a while, will be of great help to new families joining the church, and will help us all get to know one another.

Our DivorceCare ministry launched last Wednesday. We had five who attended and hopefully this ministry will grow to be a place of healing for those who experience divorce. Please pray for this ministry and those who participate.

I hope to see you in church this Sunday!

Grace and peace,

Bro. Roger
